Shipping Information

Our Mail Order department is open Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm MDT for taking and processing orders. We are closed on the weekends and on major holidays.

Our website provides shipping via two nationally recognized carriers, USPS and UPS. Shipping and insurance charges can be added to each invoice. If the package is lost without insurance it is the customer’s responsibility. Due to potential holiday demands, weather delays, acts of God, etc. Thunderbird Jewelry cannot guarantee that your order will arrive within the estimated timeframe. Shipping cost is determined by weight, dimension, and destination, we charge the rates published by our carriers. However, our website provides shipping estimates based on the normal weight of the items.  Since we sell many irregular items, your order’s actual shipping costs may vary slightly from the estimate you are given. If your order ends up costing more to ship than the estimate, you will be contacted with the new total before your items are shipped and your credit card is charged.

Thunderbird Jewelry’s shipping policy for new customers only, effective January 12, 2015

  • Order(s) may be held 3-5 extra days for verification purposes to reduce our risk of fraudulent orders.
  • Orders where the shipping address is different from billing address will not be shipped due verification purposes to reduce our risk of fraudulent orders.
  • Contact phone number outside the billing address, city and state will not be shipped.
  • New customer order(s) will not be shipped “expedited”; overnight, 2nd day or 3-day method.

A handling fee is added to every order, $5.00 for domestic and $7.50 for International orders. UPS will deliver only to street addresses, not post office boxes. There may be additional charges for some International orders.

Every effort is made to ship orders within 1-2 business days of receiving an order. Orders will be filled in the order we receive.

Estimated delivery times, once shipped, are shown below:

  • UPS Ground estimated 5-10 business days delivery
  • UPS Three Day estimated 3 business days delivery
  • UPS 2nd Day estimated 2 business days delivery
  • UPS overnight estimated 1 business day delivery
  • USPS Ground Advantage estimated 2-5 business days delivery
  • USPS Priority Mail estimated 2-3 business days delivery
  • USPS Priority Mail Express estimated 1-2 business days delivery
  • USPS Priority Mail International estimated 6-10 business days delivery
  • USPS Priority Mail Express International 3-5 business days delivery

These are not guaranteed delivery times; holidays and unforeseen bad weather can lengthen the delivery time. All estimated days are business days and do not include the day the order is shipped out.

Insurance

Shipping insurance will be offered as an additional add-on in the checkout and cart. You may decline insurance, but Thunderbird Jewelry will not be responsible for lost or stolen packages.

For orders totaling over $500 shipped via USPS, insurance and signature confirmation are required. These protections are necessary for the order to be eligible for replacement or refund in the event a package is lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Orders over $500 that are shipped without insurance and signature confirmation are not eligible for refund or replacement if a delivery issue occurs.

 

Merchandise Returns

At Thunderbird Jewelry, we stand behind the quality of our products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we are happy to assist with a return under the following terms and conditions.

  • Return Authorization & Eligibility

Customers must notify Thunderbird Jewelry within 30 days of the invoice date to request a return authorization.

Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused or returned to the sender.

All approved returns must be postmarked within 30 days of the invoice date.

  • Restocking Fee

All returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Refund Processing

Once the returned item is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.

Refunds typically appear in the customer’s bank account within 5–14 business days, depending on the financial institution or payment provider.

  • Damaged or Defective Merchandise

If an item arrives damaged or defective, customers must notify Thunderbird Jewelry within 48 hours of delivery.

Verified defective or damaged items will not be subject to restocking fees, and a prepaid return shipping label will be provided.

Items showing signs of wear, alteration, or damage caused after delivery are not considered defective.

  • Condition of Returned Items

Returned merchandise must be unused, unworn, and in original condition, including all original packaging, tags, and materials.

Items that do not meet these conditions may be denied a refund or may be subject to additional deductions.

  • Chargeback & Dispute Policy

By completing a purchase with Thunderbird Jewelry, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this return policy.

Customers agree to contact Thunderbird Jewelry directly to resolve any return or refund concerns prior to initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Unauthorized chargebacks filed in violation of this policy may result in the denial of future purchasing privileges.

  • Required Documentation

A copy of the original invoice must be included with all returns.

Errors, Damages, Shortages

Thunderbird Jewelry must be notified of items shipped in error, damaged merchandise or shortages within 5 days of receipt of shipment to establish a claim. If you receive a package that is visibly damaged, please notify us immediately and note the damage with a picture. Keep the original package and all packing material until further instructions.

Safety

Thunderbird Jewelry bears and accepts no responsibility for injury or damage which may result from the improper use of its products, or from a modified product or repair by others, or from abuse, or abnormal use.

Special Note

Thunderbird Jewelry is not liable for pictorial or typographical inaccuracies in any printed material. All product specifications, which include dimensions, are subject to change without notice. Prices shown are cash prices in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Shipping and Handling fees are also subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit quantities. Please note that orders processing is based on Mountain Daylight Time. All website orders placed will be processed and shipped within 1-2 regular business days. Thunderbird Jewelry is not liable and accepts no responsibility for delays caused by holidays, weather, other acts of God, or world events that cause delays in shipping transit time.
